Student fundraising is about more than volunteering.

If you thought getting involved with Barnardo’s was just about volunteering or giving us your money you were very wrong! Here at the student programme we work tirelessly (well sometimes we take tiny tea breaks) to come up with fun and original ways to get you involved, make you smile and show us what you’re made of. As part of my course I decided to run a break beat night for Barnardo’s. It was the first event I had put on by myself and it gave me a great opportunity to learn the ins and outs of running an event. Barnardo’s Student Programme staff were fantastic to work with - they were extremely professional and supportive in the planning stages, on the night and in wrapping up the event. The night was very successful pulling in over 180 people and raising £450 for Barnardo's.
