Barnardo's Fundraising Groups

Our amazing groups have members of all ages, professions and backgrounds. Some are made up of like-minded friends, and some are made up of business professionals or community groups. They are also great fun to be part of!

Barnardo’s Fundraising Groups provide a vital source of income to enable us to continue to meet the needs of children, young people and their families.

Our groups are fully supported by a local Regional Fundraising Manager, who provides them with hands on guidance, support, materials and help with publicity, using their expertise and knowledge.

If you’re interested in getting involved, then get in touch, we’d love to tell you more about how you can join or create a group in your area.and start changing lives.

Make sure you check out our latest Community Groups Newsletter - so you can stay up to date with the many wonderful initiatives lined up for the year!

Barnardo's Helper Groups

Barnardo’s Helper Groups form a very special part of Barnardo’s; they are often groups of friends or neighbours. These groups are set up as committee-run volunteer fundraisers, holding regular local events on behalf of Barnardo's.

Professional Fundraising Groups

Professional Fundraising Groups are volunteers who set up within a workplace to raise funds for Barnardo’s. This can include staff fundraising, charity of the year or fundraising activities with customers and suppliers.

Friends of Groups

Friends of Groups are volunteers who set up alongside a Barnardo’s service to raise funds specifically for that service. They can be Barnardo’s staff, past or present service users and/or volunteers. They are independent of the service they support.
