Turning Lives Around Campaign
Thanks to your campaigning our plea to general election candidates to tackle child poverty and youth unemployment is being heard.
We’ve had a fantastic response, with well over 1000 letters sent to candidates and the parties’ manifesto writers.
Thanks to your efforts, we have reached politicians all over the country and from across the political spectrum.
All three manifestos gave a high prominence to child poverty and youth unemployment, and we received messages of support from senior MPs within all three main parties. Newly elected MPs have already been in touch to let us know they will make children and young people one of their main priorities in the new parliament.
With your help we can keep this on the new Government’s agenda. We will continue to speak out on the most important issues to vulnerable and disadvantaged children across the UK and will be launching a new campaign shortly.
