Emergency, remand and long term fostering
Barnardo's well-supported, committed and expertly trained carers can provide long-term, short-term and support care and emergency fostering placements in the following areas:
- remand placements for young people
- placements for children and young people of all ages with behaviour that challenges
- placements for sibling groups
- placements for disabled children
- placements for unaccompanied asylum-seeking young people
- assessments of parent/s and children
- therapeutic foster placements
- placements for children who have been trafficked or affected by sexual exploitation.
Specialist adoption services
Barnardo's is committed to continuing to extend the availability of legally secure placements for children who cannot be cared for within kinship placements.
Barnardo's can provide a flexible range of adoption support and family finding services. With services across the UK, we are well placed to extend our adoption work into new geographical areas.
