What we do
We protect children's rights by:
- assisting children and young people to make their views heard and become an integral part of the service they are receiving
- working in partnership with referrers to support and address Children’s Rights issues
- supporting the creation of mechanisms which empower children to advocate for the promotion and realisation of their Rights
- supporting structures in Fife which will promote and protect Children's Rights such as the work of the Fife Child Protection Committee
- campaigning to get Children's Rights principles and standards included in Fife Council policy and initiatives
- working with key stakeholders to develop strategies that promote Children’s Rights
Confidentiality:
Fife Children’s Rights Service is highly aware of the need for confidentiality and as such we would ask that wherever possible you should seek the Child or Young Persons permission to make a referral. Information from the Young Person will be considered confidential and we operate using the best interests model identified within the CRC.
