Sessional advocates and co-ordinators
Sessional Advocates

You have the right to an opinion and for it to be listened to and taken seriously.
[From Article 12 The United Nations Right of the Child]
We can provide independent sessional advocates to work with children and young people in any situation where plans are being made for them.
All our sessional workers are trained in line with National Advocacy standards and will have at least two year’s advocacy experience. They will also receive regular support and supervision.
We have experience in providing advocates for disabled children, children attending their Looked After Children Review, Planning and Action Meetings, family group conferences and child protection conferences. Sessional advocates cost £50 per hour plus travel costs.
Sessional co-ordinators in family group conferences
"I think the work you do to try and keep families together is outstanding and I’m very grateful you were able to help me. Without this my kids would have ended up in foster, but thanks to you they will stay within the family.”
We can provide independent sessional co-ordinators to set up and run a family group conference. All our co-ordinators are trained in line with the Family Rights Group National Family Group Confernce Standards and will have at least two year’s experience as co-ordinators. They will also receive regular support and supervision. Sessional co-ordinators cost £50 an hour plus all expenses.
