What we do
Ely Families Service provides support to service users living within targeted geographical areas on the West of Cardiff
Combined Family Support Team
The Combined Family Support Team consists of:
- 515 Team - The 515 Team works in partnership with several other agencies to offer support to families with children aged 5-15 years, through structured group or individual work
- Sure Start Family Worker - The Sure Start Family Worker provides individual and group support to women experiencing post natal depression or maternal depression
- North Ely Childminding Scheme - The North Ely Childminding Scheme provides short term sessional care with local registered childminders for pre-school children in North Ely whose families are experiencing exceptionally stressful circumstances
Child & Parent Support Team
The Child & Parent Support Team, run structured parenting groups and provide additional support for parents and children attending the groups. All referrals are made through Cardiff Children's Services.
Contact Service
The Supervised Contact Service was developed in 2006 in partnership with Cardiff Children's Services. The Contact Team works with children from birth to 16 years who are looked after by the Local Authority. Contact workers transport the children from their foster carers to have contact with their parents and family. Contact between children, parents and family members may take place in the contact centre or out in the community.
