Dr B's Restaurant and Coffee Shop
Barnardo’s Dr B’s is a successful training restaurant and coffee shop in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. We provide training in catering and clerical skills in a real work environment for young people aged between 16 and 24 with a wide range of learning needs. Most students are on a two year NVQ Options Scheme, after which it is hoped they will move on to permanent employment.
The restaurant and coffee shop are open to the public every week day and the restaurant by private booking in the evening. We also have a thriving outside catering business which offers the opportunity for the trainees to work in different situations and to transfer the skills they learn at Dr.B’s to new environments.
