Dorset PSA Service

The Parent Support Advisory (PSA) Service works alongside parents and carers, helping them to achieve better outcomes for their children and young people.

The PSA Service covers all areas of Dorset and works directly with parents to provide support that can encourage their children to feel settled and secure, both at home and at school. PSA’s are based locally within school cluster areas.

The service is funded through the extended services standards fund and since starting work, PSA’s have:

• run activities
• helped parents on a one to one basis
• run coffee mornings
• signposted parents to services which can provide specialist help
• and much more.
