Gifts in Wills

Gifts in Wills are our lifeblood. Without them we simply couldn’t help all the children we do. Almost half of our voluntary income each year comes from gifts in Wills. By leaving a gift in your Will to Barnardo’s you can make a lasting difference.
You can help children like Cara at Barnardo’s High Close School, which is often a last hope when mainstream schools fail to help.
We are enormously grateful for every gift we receive – whatever its type or amount. Each person who remembers our work in their Will becomes part of our rich history and, most importantly, our future. Following in the footsteps of our founder, Dr. Thomas Barnardo, they make a lasting difference to the lives of vulnerable children.
Many supporters prefer to leave a ‘Residuary’ gift in their Will. This is a share of the remainder or ‘residue’ of their estate when all other gifts and payments have been made.
We recognise that remembering Barnardo’s in your Will is a very personal gift. Whether you are considering including a gift in your own Will, or have already done so, we will always treat you and your family with sensitivity and respect. Read our promise to supporters.
If you have already added Barnardo’s to your Will, we would love to know of your intentions. If you would like to tell us about this gift, please complete our pledge form.
We want to make leaving such a special gift as easy as possible. Find out more about gifts in Wills by browsing this section of our website. You can also obtain a copy of our Gifts in Wills guide or contact us using the details on the right of this page.
