Staff team

These are the members of staff that work in the children's centre and the positions they work in, with a little explanation of their roles. All children’s centre staff can be easily identified at sessions as they wear a bright pink t-shirt with the word 'STAFF' on the back.

Strategic Childrens Centre Manager ( Devon) Wendy  Johnson

Covering both Tavistock, Hatherleigh and Okehampton Children’s Centres to ensure government and county guidelines are met.

Centre Lead Chris Parsons

Chris co-ordinates services and events for our families to ensure we meet the needs of our local communities.

Administrators: Wendy Mills-Hicks, Chrissie Read and Charlotte Vukova

Office based, doing much of the behind the scenes work. These are often the people who will answer your telephone calls and emails.

Children centre workers: Nicola Stoneman, Jean Daniel, Liz Baker

They work with parents, children and other professionals to offer support and deliver services that can be enjoyed together.

Play leader: Mags Woolacott

Play leaders work predominantly with the children and deliver play activities and services which promote all areas of children’s development.

Volunteers: Jay Kennett, Lyn Evans, Jim Ullyett, Lyn Burgon, Pat Cunnington, Gaynor Davey and the breastfeeding peer supporters.

Volunteers help at a variety of sessions including Stay and Play and Toy Library. There are also opportunities to volunteer in the office.

Parents Forum: members of the children's centre

All members of the children's centre are encouraged to come along to our parents forum meetings which are a good opportunity to discuss new ideas and to give us feedback on sessions.
