Tour around the centre

The Culm Valley Children's Centre moved into a brand new building on the 2nd July 2008: The new building has:
- one main play room
- two meeting rooms
- a sensory room, named rainbow.
Each one of the rooms is named after a children's story book.
Elmer room
This is our main play room at the centre in which most of the sessions are held. The room can be split into two with access to the outside play area from both sides. The room can also be booked by partner agencies.
Kipper room
This is our quiet room where families can sit and chill if they wish to. The health team use this room for toddler MOT checks and Baby Weaning talks. The room is often used by partner agencies.
Threadbear room
This is a small office which can be used for meetings etc.
Rainbow room
Our multi sensory room with padded flooring, UV lighting and a galaxy star projector comprising of thousands of stars is hugely popular with the children and families. This room can be booked for one hour, free of charge, monday to friday. Please contact the centre for more information.
Secret garden
Our secret garden, around the side of the building, is open for all of the families to enjoy. It has seating for you to have your lunch if you wish.
Front garden
The front garden has a willow tunnel, sand pit and a bear sculpted from willow! Can you find him? Both gardens are open all day for you to use.
