Cullompton Family Centre's main focus is the welfare and education of families with young children including families dealing with stressful situations. The main aim is to support families in a way that gives them confidence to manage their lives. Building self confidence which, in turn, fosters good parenting, is the key to preventing/minimising the impact of breakdown, abuse or other distress/disruption to family life.
The family centre offers a safe non-judgmental environment to enable families to grow and develop in confidence. To meet together to enjoy and learn from family centered activities that the staff initiate and were parents have access to the support and referral that they might need.
Key objectives:
- to promote the benefits of a healthy lifestyle
- to provide a safe, enjoyable learning environment
- to empower parents through increased self confidence to improve their parenting skills
- to contribute to community development by working in partnership with other agencies
- to provide essential support to families where needed to minimise breakdown and/or the impact
