Breast Friends Cafe
A breast feeding support group managed by Jo, Breast Feeding Project Worker, and a group of Peer Supporters who have been trained by le leche league. The group is for:
- all pregnant women who are considering breastfeeding
- all breastfeeding mums
- their partners and siblings.
Jo and the Peer supporters will be available to answer your questions and support you with breastfeeding. Join us for a chat, tea/coffee and a light lunch.

Cost: £1 voluntary contribution per family
Time: weekly - Monday 11.30am to 1.00pm.

Breast feeding advice
A breast feeding advice and support service is now available every Wednesday between 10.30am - 12.00pm at the Culm Valley Children's Centre. To speak with Jo or a peer supporter please contact the centre on the above number.
Baby Sling Hire
Baby sling hire is available from the Centre for one week or one month for FREE. A deposit of £10 is required which is returnable. We have a variety of slings available. For more information please contact the Centre on 01884 35993.
Electronic Breast Pump Hire
Electronic breast pump hire is also available for one month FREE loan. In order to use the pump a sterile milk collection set has to be purchased from Ardo Medical at a cost of £16.20. This set remains your property and a pump attachment can be purchased to convert it into a hand pump. Please contact the Centre for more information.
