About Barnardo's in Manchester

Barnardo's believes in every child, no matter who they are, what they have done or what they have been through.
Here in Manchester, we run 12 community based projects to ensure that the most vulnerable children and young people in the area get the support they need. Each year these projects change the lives of more than three thousand children, young people and their families in the Manchester area. Our projects offer a wide range of support to those children who face the hardships of poverty, physical, sexual and emotional abuse, exploitation and discrimination in their daily lives.

With more families living on the breadline in inner-city Manchester than anywhere else in the UK, it has never been more important to support the children in our community. Barnardo’s needs your help to continue its vital work with the most vulnerable in the area. There are lots of different ways to get involved. Whether you fundraise or volunteer, your support will help transform the lives of the most disadvantaged children here in Manchester.

Barnardo’s in Manchester needs nearly £4 million each year to ensure that all of their services are providing the best support to children, young people and their families in the area. That is why your support is so important.
Dominic Monaghan, actor

Coming from a large and loving family that has always managed to stay together I can only imagine what life must be like for children who have not known such security.
I've always admired Barnardo's for the work they do for children and young people who have not had the benefits I have had and am always glad to lend whatever support I can to Barnardo's.
