Barnardo's Northern Ireland Council member, Baroness May Blood

Baroness May Blood M.B.E.

Chair & Council Member - Baroness Blood has been a member of Barnardo’s Council since 2001.

Throughout her entire working life she has been a passionate advocate for those living with the effects of poverty and early years education.

In 1996 she received an MBE for Industrial Relations. In 1999 she received a Life Peerage from the Queen.

Edward Wilson C.B.E

is from the world of industry and commerce and co-chaired the very successful Barnardo’s Centenary Appeal in N Ireland.

Carolyn Kerr

Former Home Economics teacher. A Barnardo’s supporter since 1978 when she officially joined Bangor Barnardo's Helpers Group (BHG). Carolyn later went on to become both the secretary and chair of this group and was N.I. Regional Chairman of BHG from October 1997 to October 2003.

Margaret Andrews O.B.E.

Former Principal of Victoria College Belfast. and member of the Senate of Queens University Belfast.

Lady Christine Eames O.B.E.

Lady Eames previously held the position of World President of the Mothers Union and between 2001 – 2007 and was Commissioner for Human Rights in Northern Ireland. Her current positions include Trustee of the Central Board of Christian Aid, Governor Hunterhouse College Belfast and Patron of Homestart NI.

Gerard McMahon

Former Principal of Corpus Christi College Belfast. Member of the Belfast Education & Library Board, member of the Board of Contact Youth and a member of the Board of NI Community Addiction Service.
