Actress Lesley Joseph visited our Dr. B's Kitchen in Belfast to help re-launch the project after it's recent refit.
Dr B’s Kitchen provides training opportunities in the catering industry for young people with a range of learning disabilities. The project was opened in 1991 and since then has trained over 300 young people. Eighty per cent of trainees move on to employment or further training. The aim of Dr B’s is to offer these young people the opportunity of a career and independent living, to break away from a cycle of dependency and encourage them to fulfil their potential.
