Tenancy and Family Support Service
The Tenancy and Family Support Service provides support to Young People between the ages of 16-25yrs, some of whom may be young Parents. Our main aim is for young people to have an opportunity to live independently and safely within their own home and community.
Each Young Person is allocated their own Tenancy and Family Support Worker. The Worker will discuss with them their individual needs, once needs have been assessed a support package is put in place. The support package may include, budgeting, keeping to a tenancy agreement, promoting good parenting, keeping healthy and active, attending appointments, dealing with debt issues, support at court proceedings, appointments with Solicitors.
We will also sign post Young People to other services, including training, employment and education. The Tenancy & Family Support Service works closely with the Compass Family Group Meeting Service and Compass Relationships in Recession Group.
Our Service Users have the opportunity to become Volunteers within Barnardo’s Cymru.
The service encourages service user participation, and we promote and support service user involvement.
