Frequently asked questions

Q.How do I get in contact?

A. You can contact us directly at The Community House, or for the Family Goup Conference Project at Revive. See the 'Contact Us' page for details.

There is usually someone in the office between 9am and 5pm from Mondays to Fridays. You are welcome to call in if you are in the area but it is usually best to phone beforehand as we are often working out in the community.

Q Are the DadsRUs Activities available to all Families?

A.Our Dads activities are aimed at encouraging children and fathers to play together so all children must be accompanied by a Dad or Male carer (e.g. grandad, step dad or uncle) They are funded across Area Panel 2 and can be accessed by families in this area. Area Panel 2 covers Sinfin, Osmaston, Allenton, Alvaston, Boulton and Chellaston.

Q. How do you work with Surestart in the area?

A. We are part of the Surestart partnership in the area and work closely with them as well as receiving some funding from them.

Q. Why is the Family Group Project only availble for families in Derwent?

A:This is because we are directly funded by New Deal For Communities to work in this area to target families in need. If this proves to be successful we hope to be able to expand out across the city.

Q. Can I volunteer?

A. We are always looking for new volunteers. You would have to go through a process of being vetted which includes a Criminal Record Bureau check. We particularly encourage local parents to become volunteers.
