Commission our Children's Services: Yorkshire
Each year Barnardo's in Yorkshire helps over 10,000 vulnerable children and young people who suffer from abuse, homelessness, poverty and disability.
We work directly in partnership with children and young people to create and develop services that meet their needs.
We have developed several creative initiatives which have also been used by other services throughout the UK, including:
- ground-breaking work with children abused through prostitution
- community development linking churches and neighbourhood action
- new education services for school-age mums
- schemes tracking young people reported missing from home have had a similar impact.
