Commission children's services:
Northern Ireland

Barnardo's first project in Northern Ireland began in 1899 at a soup kitchen in Great Victoria Street, Belfast.
Today we provide over 40 different services to support the most vulnerable children and young people and we work in over 60 schools.
Our range of work includes counselling, fostering and short break care. We also work with:
- young carers
- children of prisoners
- young people vulnerable to sexual exploitation
- ethnic minority families
- families where there is domestic violence, addiction or mental health issues
- children who have been bereaved.
