Commission Children's Services: North East

Barnardo's North East works with around 14,000 children, young people and their families each year, across Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Tess Valley and County Durham.
We provide over 50 services and work hard to build relationships with the most vulnerable and hard to reach children, young people and families. Our work includes:
- fostering and adoption
- protecting and supporting children and young people exploited through prostitution
- providing vocational training for young people who are not in education or employment
- providing practical and emotional support for young people who are caring for a sick or disabled relative.
We have a detailed knowledge of the needs of the region while also benefiting from the support of our national colleagues, with whom we share best practice and work collaboratively.
