What we do
In general our work is based on a systemic understanding of how difficulties arise, although our interventions to resolve these can take many forms from completely play based therapy at one end of the spectrum to cognitive/behavioural approaches at the other.
We use these skills to carry out assessments for Local Authorities, Health Services and the Courts and to provide short and longer term therapy where this is needed.
We haven’t included specific breakdowns of the therapeutic methods we use because of space and because each child or young person’s needs are specific to themselves but we would be happy to provide fuller information if this is required.
We also provide a free initial professionals’ consultation to help ensure that a child or young person gets connected with the service which best meets their needs.
If you would like to come and see us, we run regular visitors’ sessions for professionals who have an interest in our work. Please telephone for details.
