Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge

Take on one of the greatest 'must-do'outdoor challenges of the UK.

Completing this route involves undertakiong one of the greatest outdoor challenges of the UK. It will be a tough day, but worth it for that feeling of satisfaction upon completion.

Starting and finishing in the sleepy Yorkshire village of Horton-in-Ribblesdale, you will ascend the following three peaks; Pen y Ghent, Whemside & Ingleborough, taking in magnificent views.

The scenery is dramatic and ever changing, wildlife abounds as do carpets of flowers encouraged by the nutrient rich soils of the Limestone pavement. You will be guided by experienced mountain leaders along the 37km route.

Itinerary

This challenge is run over a weekend, Friday to Sunday, however if you would like to do this at any other time, including midweek, then please contact us. A typical itinerary looks like this:

Day 1 - Friday

Arrive early evening at your accommodation in the Horton-in- Ribblesdale area. Evening briefing session and equipment check.

Day 2 – Saturday

We aim to set out walking at 8am. Following our chosen route we ascend Pen y Ghent, Whernside & Ingleborough before making our final descent back to Horton-in-Ribblesdale. Evening meal & celebratory drinks will be in order!

Day 3 – Sunday

Depart after breakfast.

Inclusions

•2 nights’ accommodation in a good quality B&B or hotel with ensuite or private bathroom and breakfast. Single rooms are available at a supplement of £45 per person

•Professional event organisation

•Qualified mountain leaders

•Group first aid kit with qualified first aiders

•Briefing, route planning and equipment check to ensure you have everything you need to fully enjoy the following day

Exclusions

•Travel to the start and finish points of the trip

•Lunches, evening meals and beverages.

•Personal Insurance (for cancellation, accident, health, emergency evacuation and loss, theft of or damage to baggage and personal effects)

There are two ways you can choose to fund this once in a lifetime adventure:

Self Funder

The cost of this trip is £249.

With the self funding option you personally cover the registration fee of £249. This option means that there is no minimum sponsorship target due and all monies raised from the challenge will go directly towards supporting the work that Barnardo's does.

Minimum Sponsorship

A registration fee of £99 is required upon booking with a minimum fundraising commitment of £350.
