RSPB Abernethy Nature Reserve

The Abernethy Nature Reserve is among the RSPB's most spectacular sites and is one of nine National Nature Reserves in the Cairngorms National Park. Its enduring landscape is one of the most important nature conservation areas in the UK and encompasses a huge range of habitats and some of their most thrilling wildlife.

The reserve contains two SSSIs (Site of Special Scientific Interest) and three SPAs (Special Protection Area). Loch Garten, famous for its breeding Ospreys, is an Area of Special Protection. You can find out more at the Abernethy Nature Reserve website.
