The Cairngorms National Park
Your Cairngorm Challenge is set in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. The Cairngorms received its status in 2003 with its unique character of the natural environment, cultural heritage and local communities.

Responsible access
With the sensitive environment, securing permission for events is a rare privilege. Barnardo’s and event organisers Maximillion embrace responsible access, ensuring we have a positive impact on the area. Please read the responsible tourism guide (PDF) for further information.
Landowners
The Cairngorm Challenge passes through five estates under separate ownership, each with their unique character and status. We are grateful for the opportunity to access these special tracts of land. Our partner landowners are:
