Fundraising ideas

To raise as much money as possible for Barnardo’s, you might want to consider holding a fundraising event or doing an alternative activity.

It’s easy – here are some ideas that have worked brilliantly for previous runners and riders:

Organise a barbecue – charge your guests to attend
Bake cakes and sell them at work – everyone loves a sweet treat
Host a dinner party and charge your friends to come. (Do this more than once with different groups of people)
Organise a quiz night – book an area in a pub, charge guests £10 to come along and have a cash prize
Guess my finish time – sell finishing times and offer a prize to the person who gets closest
Car boot sale (or eBay) – get friends together, gather up everyone’s old clothes, books, music etc, then sell them on and put the proceeds to your sponsorship total
