Travel and accommodation

The Cairngorm Challenge begins at 7am on Saturday 8 September 2012, so check-in and briefing takes place on the evening of Friday 7th September 2012. After the challenge, there is a BBQ and prize-giving, which goes on until 9.30pm. Therefore, participants (and any supporters) will need to book accommodation, and of course work out their travel to the event.

Travel

Aviemore and the Cairngorms National Park are easily accessible from all over the UK, by road, rail and air.

To limit the environmental impact of this event, we strongly encourage participants to try and make use of public transport.

The most accessible train station for the Cairngorms National Park is Aviemore. The nearest airport is Inverness, which is serviced by flights from all over the UK.

If you are driving put 'Glenmore' into a route planner. Full details of where and when to meet will be sent out nearer the time.
