Bury Children’s Rights

Bury Children’s Rights offers an advocacy service for children  and young people who are looked after by Bury Local Authority the children and young people can be looked after in the Bury district area or can be placed in an out of borough setting.

Bury local authority has around 300 children and young people who are looked after. Bury children’s Rights works in partnership with Bury local authority advocating for children and young people who need our support.

Bury Children’s Rights also offers an independent visitor service to children and young people who are looked after by Bury local authority. The independent visitor’s service offers a child or young person a consistent adult who will visit them regularly and give them a break from their everyday life. An independent visitor is someone a child or young person can talk to about any worries they may have.
