William’s story

Your money could help children like 2 year-old William. He had severe language delay and his parents were sure he needed to be assessed for autism. However, there was a six month waiting list for this and they wanted to help William as much as they could.
They were referred to our Hamara Project in London. They helped devise a programme for one of their sitters to use with William at home. This was very successful and his parents actively joined in the programme.
William has now been diagnosed as autistic. He attends the Earlybird programme, a course for parents to work with autistic children under 5. The trainer says, "The Earlybird programme has made such a difference to William’s development." Members of the family have contacted the project to thank them for their support.
