Make your Barnardo’s Big Toddle a great occasion by getting your local nursery involved. Your children will enjoy their Toddle far more when all their little friends are doing it at the same time. It’s fantastic fun for the parents and guardians to all get involved too. The Toddle is a great way of getting to know each other!
You and the nursery could make your Toddle a really special occasion. Why not make an event of it and have it as part of a party or sports day? You will receive a great pack that will help you easily organise a successful event.

In 2007 thousands of nurseries joined together for the Barnardo’s Big Toddle. One group, Kiddi Caru, got several of their chain involved. It was a massive success, raising thousands of pounds to help vulnerable children.
Caron Pardoe of Kiddi Caru says it was an easy decision to get involved in the Big Toddle. ‘There was little encouragement needed. Our nurseries saw it as a great way to raise their profile and do something with the children for a worthy cause.’
Stephen O’Connor, Director of Fundraising, is full of praise for the Kiddi Caru nurseries. ‘We are extremely grateful for all the hard work the nursery leaders, parents and, of course, the children have put in this year. The support we've had from Kiddi Caru has been fantastic. We hope that the children enjoyed the day and look forward to see them all Toddling again!'
