Comments about Stay and Play:

'Definitely made a difference. Being at home with a 21 month old and a three year old was driving me nutty. The children get stimulation and socialisation, but being involved in the family centre has opened my eyes to much more. It's more than a parent and toddler session. My aspirations are increasing... ready to look for new horizons in work'.

'It's made a huge difference, the best thing in my life. I've done everything. Stay and Play, Coping with Kids and Pathways. It's really supportive, a real sense of calm here'.

Comments from a course participant as a result of attending a first aid course:

'I feel I have achieved what I wanted to, I found the writing most difficult and the practical things easy and enjoyable. I have increased in confidence'.

Comments about Learning Through Play:

'I found the course really interesting and I play with my son a lot more now'.

'I feel this is a worthwhile course to help any parent feel able and confident in parenting and helping their child develop to their full potential'.

Comments from Pathways counselling evaluation:

'I thought the assessor was approachable and took time to listen and did not belittle my problems. I thought the counselling was quite helpful as it gave me time to try to understand what had happened. I have realised that I need space and boundaries that I am starting to control and not let everyone cross'.

Comments from parents on support, friendships and socialising:

family walking down the road

'I like talking to people now. In the past I've kept myself to myself'.

'I can make friends here and we share things and talk about our kids'.'

'I have made a lot of good friends since attending the family centre and for that I will always be grateful to the family centre'.

'I've met old friends and new and usually don't see hardly anyone during the day unless I go to the centre'.
